At InterAnalysis, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who visit our website, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

Our privacy policy makes three promises to you:

We are InterAnalysis Ltd, also trading as TradeSift (our international trade data analytical software).

InterAnalysis Ltd is a privately registered company (no. 06697690).

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain minimal information about you when:

  • you use our website
  • you contact us about products and services, and
  • you register for a trial or download of our software, TradeSift
  • you attend one of our training programmes (as supplied by you or your organisation).

What information do we collect from you?

You can visit our site and browse it without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself to us.

It is only when you register for our TradeSift software or use our Contact Form that you will be asked to provide us with personally identifiable information.

The personal information we collect is minimal, as follows:

  • name
  • email address
  • organisation
  • country
  • telephone number

How is your information used?

The registration process will create your Customer Account. You can access your Customer Account at any time through which you are able to review your download history of TradeSift or data sets from the website.

We use this information in several ways:

  • to provide a first and last name on messages you receive from us
  • to log and to process orders that you have submitted
  • to verify your identity, including account creation and password reset processes
  • to provide you with customer support services
  • to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us
  • to seek your views or comments on the services we provide
  • to send you, on occasion, communications that may be of interest to you. These typically include activities of our experts, new features of our TradeSift software and our training programmes. See Your Choices

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We hold your personal information on our systems for the required amount of time to support all software licences including relevant activities to support our business contracts with you and your organisation.

Profiling

We may analyse your personal information to create a profile of your preferences so that we can contact you with information relevant to you. See Your Choices.

Your choices

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us.

The information we may send from time to time can include:

  • information about forthcoming training, or
  • updates regarding our software, TradeSift

We will not contact you for marketing purposes by text message.

Alterations

Removal

If you do not want to receive direct communications from us about our work, our software or our services, please email notify us at: info@tradesift.com.

Confirmation of Changes

We will confirm your alteration or deletion requests within one month.

Portability

InterAnalysis respects your request for the personal information we may hold.

We will supply your data in .csv file within one month.

How you can access and update your information

The accuracy of your information is important to us.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information InterAnalysis holds about you.

If you change email address, or if you believe any of the information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please email us at: info@tradesift.com.

We will confirm your alteration or deletion requests within five working days.

Third Party Relationships

We have relationships with experts and services companies throughout the UK and internationally. We may pass your information to a narrow and select group of third party providers, subcontractors or other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to process our payments or within a consortium to deliver our expertise and training). You can recognise these by joint branding (such as Sussex Innovation Centre, University of Sussex, etc).

When we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver or support that service and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes.

Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties beyond the InterAnalysis network unless we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it is treated securely.

We operate secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against loss, misuse and alteration of our user data under our control.

Only certain employees have access to the information you provide to us. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur, we go to significant lengths to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.

Use of ‘cookies’

Like many other websites, our website uses cookies. ‘Cookies’ are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit. They collect statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns and do not identify you as an individual.
