TradeSift Training in Nepal
22/02/2013

A team from InterAnalysis delivered a TradeSift training course in Kathmandu, Nepal, from January 21st to January 25th 2013.  Peter Holmes, Jim Rollo, Sarah Ollerenshaw and Matteo Sandi worked with a group of Indian and Pakistani trade officials to use Tradesift to explore opportunities for expanded trade particularly in value chain activity between the two neighbours. Despite the very real tensions on their joint border at that time the two groups worked together with enthusiasm and warmth. Further meetings are anticipated, the next, hopefully, in Islamabad. The workshop was facilitated by our local partner organisation SAWTEE who also arranged the participation of officials from the  Nepalese government and the regional organisation SAARC.
